Summary:Sampled-data control systems, of which the open-loop transfer function is such that the corresponding impulse response is discontinuous at the origin, cannot be studied with the usual z formula. The z transfer function of such systems is established when it can be assumed that there is no instantaneous transmission, or when the sampler is not a usual Dirac sampler.
